The study examines the economic architecture Guyana might possess by 2030, the conditions required to convert petroleum income into durable national wealth, and risks capable of weakening the transition.
Evidence discipline
The analysis combines 2026 macroeconomic evidence, public finance, petroleum development, sector data, international research on resource-rich economies and original scenario frameworks. Observed data, institutional projections and author scenarios are separated throughout. The research cut-off is 19 September 2026.
National wealth conversion
The framework tests whether resource income strengthens financial, physical, human, productive, institutional, natural, social and spatial capital. The focus is the quality of conversion rather than headline growth alone.
